Aspire to Inspire

Growing up as a kid, I had very little going for me.

We we're first generation immigrants from Sudan living in a shared townhouse with a struggling family business barely towing us through. I went to one of the worst high schools in the state of Virginia - at the time - ranking in the bottom 5% in-terms of college readiness.

But I was raised under the mantra Never Be Comfortable, and understood that our situation was only temporary. From humble beginnings pushing old tires as a child in Wad Madani, Sudan to joining the oh-so special Ivy League (P.S. It's not all its cracked up to be), dreams can become reality.

Should become reality. I most certainly cannot attribute any achievement to a natural acumen or superb athletic ability; I can play no instrument and dunk no basketball. But I do have something that most people don't. Something that regardless of income, race, or societal status is quite difficult to find:

I am free

I wake up every day of my life eager to begin and go to sleep each night with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from a life truly lived. Through deliberate introspection, a mission of goal-getting, and a desire for success that vastly outstrips fears of failure, I was able to design a lifestyle that I am excited to wake up to Every. Single. Day.

My greatest aspiration is to lay the seeds of inspiration in each individual and change the paradigm.

I am glad to have you join the journey
